Born on December 31, 2000, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Logan Hunter Sargeant is a 23-year-old American driver currently lining up with the Williams Racing team. He became Formula 1’s first American driver in nearly nine years when he took to the grid for the 2023 season. Standing at 5 feet 11 inches (1.81m), Sargeant is gearing up for his second season in F1 after the Grove-based outfit retained him for 2024.

For the 2022 season, Sargeant secured a permanent seat in F2 with Carlin. He claimed victories at Silverstone and Spielberg, along with podium finishes in Barcelona and Baku. He finished the season fourth overall, finally earning the FIA Super Licence.

Sargeant would then be confirmed to join the F1 grid alongside Alex Albon at Williams Racing for the 2023 season, becoming the first American driver to do so since 2015.

In spite of it being a dream come true for Sargeant, his debut season in F1 was a far cry from what he had hoped for.

The American rookie suffered seven retirements throughout the season and was unable to score points until the 19th round, when he finished in tenth place in front of his home crowd in Austin.

However, this was the only time he managed to gain any points in the entire 2023 season, which ultimately saw him finish 21st in the drivers' standings.

Nevertheless, Williams Racing decided to retain the American for the 2024 season, giving him another chance to prove himself on the F1 stage.

F1 driver salaries and contracts are very closely guarded secrets, and few people know their true value. That said, reports put the value of Sargeant's current Williams deal at an annual figure of $1 million.
